About the Role

Drivon builds production websites and internal tools for Kenyan businesses across e-commerce, SaaS and corporate sites. You will own features end-to-end — from database schema to the deployed UI — on a Django + React stack.

PageSpeed and clean code are not afterthoughts here — they are the standard every project is held to.

If you enjoy seeing your code go live for real clients within weeks, not quarters, you will fit right in.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain client websites and internal admin tools on Django + React
  • Design clean PostgreSQL schemas and write efficient queries
  • Implement responsive, accessible frontend interfaces from Figma designs
  • Optimise for Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed on every project
  • Deploy and maintain applications on Linux servers
  • Write clear documentation for handover and maintenance
  • Pair with designers and SEO specialists to ensure technical SEO is built in from day one
  • Review code from junior developers and share best practices

What We Are Looking For

Must Have

  • 3+ years building production web applications
  • Strong Django (Python) backend experience — models, views, REST APIs
  • Proficient in React or modern vanilla JavaScript
  • Comfortable with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimisation
  • Experience deploying and maintaining apps on Linux servers
  • Understanding of web performance — Core Web Vitals, caching, asset optimisation
  • Git workflow fluency and comfort working in a small team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or component design systems
  • Familiarity with SEO-friendly site architecture
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • Mobile app development experience (Android/Kotlin)
